EMEA DAYS 2020

As part of an internal Ubisoft EMEA (Europe and Asia-Pacific) conference, we produced a team building solution.
The team building had to respond to two requests, following the "Secret agent" theme the event and taking into account the constraints due to current health restrictions. The goal being getting as many employees as possible to participate physically in the Ubisoft offices or from their homes.
To meet these two constraints we produced a connected treasure hunt, the players present on site, took on the role of field agent and the teleworking employees were the support agents. Each having a very distinct goal in this asymmetrical gameplay.

FIELD AGENTS

Field agents had to move around the town of St Mandé to reach points of interest where they could find clues and earn points. At each point, a riddle was given and players had to use the clues in the environment around them to solve it. In order to get help from the field agents, an app was developed allowing them to be tracked at any time.

SUPPORT AGENTS

Support agents had a web interface with a map showing the position of points of interest and their content at their disposal as well as the position of their field agents on the map . Their role was to guide the agents to the point of interest and help them solve the puzzle.

END GAME

When the team found the POI password, it was validated and they earned points and clues to solve the final puzzle, finding the identity of a double agent from a list of fictional characters.
The first team to find the agent won. Several other prizes were awarded depending on the number of points gained, the distance traveled and the number of puzzles solved.
